ACT NRM is the sole regional NRM organisation in the ACT, and the only NRM organisation in Australia that sits within a state or territory government.
ACT NRM is advised by a Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee, made up of representatives from a variety of NRM-related community organisations across the ACT.
ACT NRM’s focus includes biodiversity and conservation; First Nations natural resource management; sustainable agriculture; community engagement and facilitation; and citizen science. Our work in the region is guided by the Caring for Dhawura Ngunnawal: A natural resource plan for the ACT 2022-2042. Within these focus areas ACT NRM carries out a wide range of programs, many in partnership with stakeholders across the community and all levels of government, to conserve and enhance the natural resources of the ACT. We are passionate about protecting the ACT region’s natural resources for the betterment of human and environmental health.
