NSW governance info

Local Land Services is a regional-focused NSW Government agency delivering quality customer services to farmers, landholders and the wider community.

We help people make better decisions about the land they manage and assist rural and regional communities to be profitable and sustainable into the future.

How we help

We connect people with groups, information, support and funding to improve agricultural productivity and better manage our natural resources. Our experienced staff can answer questions on issues, including:

  • agricultural production
  • biosecurity
  • natural resource management
  • help during emergencies

We can support you with information and resources to:

  • improve your agricultural productivity
  • control declared pests and meet your legal obligations
  • manage and improve our natural resources

Local Land Services is governed by our Chair and Board of Chairs, who are responsible for the performance of the organisation across NSW.

Regionally, our local Boards set the local strategic direction and are an important link to our communities.

Natural Heritage Trust

Local Land Services is undertaking more projects funded by the Australian Government’s Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) that will boost environmental protection, sustainable agriculture and natural resource management outcomes across NSW.

The projects are being delivered across NSW over 5 years to 2028 and assist with:

  • recovery of threatened species, including native animals and plants
  • reducing threats to important wetlands and world heritage sites
  • improving on-farm soil, biodiversity and vegetation
  • helping farmers adapt to climate change
