Birriah People develop Caring for Country Plan

Implementing their visions for a healthy country, embedded in cultural heritage

In partnership with NQ Dry Tropics, Birriah Aboriginal Corporation and its members, the Birriah people, participated in workshops in 2024 to create a Caring For Country Plan to implement their visions for a healthy country, embedded in cultural heritage.

The workshops explored embracing contemporary technologies and western methods to enhance the preservation and communication of Birriah history including the documentation and safeguarding of cultural sites and artefacts.
