Landscape SA are helping SA farmers rethink their futures and are shifting the carbon farming trajectory. We’ve collaborated to become trusted, independent sources of carbon farming information and advice. Eight NRM regions are working together to upskill themselves and deliver landholder training that is tailored to each regions’ stakeholders. This unique program has enabled genuine collaboration within and between Landscape Boards, and other stakeholders including NRM Regions Australia. This has led to positive outcomes for project delivery and sincere learning for landholders to help shift the trajectory of the nature and climate crises. Our re-imagined approach, including fortnightly community of practice (CoP) meetings, has generated valuable efficiencies. Through this CoP we’ve supported peer to peer learning and divided and conquered many tasks, including: learning from experts, and creating workshop and evaluation materials. Now we’re adding podcasts, videos, fact sheets, conferences and more to our growing extension toolkits.
