Quantifying the benefits of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for climate resilience

Day 1 · Monday 8 September · 10:00am — 4:00pm
Location: Cairns City Library

As part of the national Nature-led Resilience agenda, this workshop will contribute to development of a national framework to quantify impacts of NbS, with a focus on disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation benefits.

Current projects being delivered by NRM organisations will be used as case studies to help explore:

  • How do we practically quantify Nature-based Solutions (NbS) disaster risk reduction benefits at the landscape level in the Australian context?
  • What impact indicators will help drive decisions and investment while being feasible to measure across NbS and the Australian context?
  • What data, tools and evidence already exist that we can draw on?
  • Test the draft framework in real world scenarios focussed on flood and fire risk reduction

Workshop run by NRM Regions Australia Nature-led Resilience project staff.

Light catered lunch ❘ capped at 30 participants – Don’t miss out!
