A collaboration between Bralca 2.0, the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions, State government, Indigenous land managers and NRM bodies is spearheading the next generation of vertebrate pest surveillance using purpose-built fixed-wing drones. These long-range systems, equipped with sub-audible flight capability, integrated thermal sensors, and AI-assisted detection workflows, enable high-resolution, non-intrusive monitoring across some of Australia’s most remote and complex landscapes. This poster presents a series of case studies from ongoing deployments across New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia, demonstrating the operational effectiveness of this approach in both incursion detection and the assessment of established pest populations.
