About Fitzroy Basin Association
Fitzroy Basin Association is a medium-sized, non-profit organisation in the the Fitzroy Basin region. The region is over 156,000 square kilometres in size – it has significant agricultural and mining industries, as well as being the largest river basin flowing into the iconic Great Barrier Reef lagoon.
It is the largest river system draining to Australia’s east coast.
FBA coordinates a regional natural resource management strategy – that means developing targets with community input and keeping track to achieve them.
