Carbon farming projects have high potential to contribute to nature outcomes – where this is planned from the outset, considered in the landscape context, and appropriately verified. This pilot provides an insight into how this can work in practice.
Melinda Cox of LLS describes a pilot public/private partnership pilot LLS have been undertaking with with Greening Australia. The goal was to get 20 landholders over an area of 500ha committed to participating in a carbon farming project using the environmental plantings method under the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF).
