This report outlines the options for using Nature-based Solutions for disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation. It includes useful definitions of different types of NbS and how they contribute to holistic system resilience. There is guidance to support practitioners to identify when NbS is suited to meet project goals, and strategies to design and implement NbS. It explains why NbS are important for the Asian Development Bank and its stakeholders, and discusses how to introduce ‘green’ options to clients and funders.
