Response to the public consultation on the Integrated Farm and Land Management method under the Australian Government’s Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme.
NRM Regions Australia provided feedback on the Integrated Farm and Land Management (IFLM) method proposed for inclusion in the ACCU scheme. Our submission identifies a number of changes that could improve access and opportunities for participation in the IFLM method, including ensuring soil carbon is added, and providing a streamlined pathway for additional modules or ‘activities’ to be added. The submission also notes that current discounting processes in the method may limit participation and calls for further consideration of the business case for landholders seeking to participate.
NRM Regions Australia has been involved in the development of the IFLM method since 2021.
