Peter Voller PSM

Board member

Peter grew up on farms in Queensland’s South Burnett, his 35 year career in the state government was devoted to landholder extension and applied land and vegetation management. He has worked closely with the Landcare and NRM sector for his whole working life, helping land managers seek innovative and practical ways to improve sustainability and productivity together.

Since retirement in 2018 he has taken up leadership roles at local, regional, state and national levels to advance his passion for sustainable and biodiverse rural land management.

In addition to NRM Regions Australia Board, he is a Director of the National Landcare Network Board, chair of West Tamar Landcare Group, chair of Cradle Coast NRM in NW Tasmania. He is also a director of the Cradle Coast Authority Board, the Tasmanian Farm Innovation Hub Advisory Board and Landcare Tasmania Board.

What skills/interests do you bring to the role?

Peter has experience in organisational governance, policy review and design, landscape planning and practical farm management.  He has a passion for natural history, including bird watching, ecology and botany along with deep interest in the thinking and motivation behind socially, economically, culturally and ecologically sustainable land and community development.
