Ben is the Water Policy Officer for Jaithmathang TABOO, a role he has held since September 2024.
A proud Dharawal man from south Sydney, Ben is passionate about combining Traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern scientific approaches to care for Country. He has played a key role in collaborative projects between Nallawilli Bunjil and NECMA, most notably leading work on the Bogong Moth Monitoring Project, and being involved in conservation projects related to Peatlands and Boulderfields of the Australian Alps.
Ben is committed to empowering Indigenous communities, strengthening cultural connections to land and water, and developing new tools to support long-term ecological monitoring.
