Dr Jane McKenzie is the National Deer Management Coordinator. Her work seeks to increase coordination and efforts to manage feral/wild deer in Australia, build capacity, networks and share best practice, support development of new control tools, and drive community awareness of the need to act early. The National Deer Management Coordinator project is supported by the Australian Government and hosted by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions in South Australia.
Jane has a background in ecology, with experience in research on both overabundant and threatened wildlife species, natural resource and land management, and engagement with communities, government agencies, and other organisations.
