Jodie has been with the SAAL Board since 2015 and previously a public servant of around 32 years across justice, social policy, education, regional development and community engagement.
Serving most of her career in regional South Australia, she is passionate about bringing voice and agency to people and communities that are often out of immediate view of the decision makers, but often have the greatest need.
Grassroots engagement with First Nations partners forms a fundamental part of how NRM business is done in the outback of SA. Jodie leads a multi-disciplinary team who, integrate an engagement and partnership approach to all work in community and on-country – whatever their role or discipline. Relationships come before all else, paving the way for empowered communities, healthy country, and while not always easy, a wonderful sense of purpose.
