Lydia Drake is a Natural Resource Management Project Coordinator for the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (GB CMA). She graduated with Honours in Environmental Science from Deakin University and has 20 years of experience in natural resource and water management.
Lydia has been involved in numerous programs, including coordinating water quality monitoring in storages and rivers post fires and ensuring compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act for Australia’s largest rural water corporation.
For the last two years Lydia has relished returning to natural resource management at the GB CMA, coordinating the day-to-day environmental flows for Victoria’s longest river, the Goulburn River.
Lydia enjoys working with scientists, river operators and water holders to use science and a pragmatic approach to achieve the best ecological outcome in a river with multiple, and at times conflicting needs. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Australia with her adventurous young family.
