Maria is an NRM Officer with a strong focus on Landcare, including land restoration, weed management and biodiversity, working to support long-term, productive landscapes.
She recently completed a PhD in Environmental Science at the University of Queensland, where she explored sustainable land management practices with a focus on soil microorganisms and their potential function.
Maria is passionate about connecting science with on-ground action and helping communities care for their land in practical, lasting ways.
