Ziggy is an experienced environmental economist who is passionate about recognising and quantifying the contribution that environmental management has to nature, our economy and society.
In his role with IDEEA Group, Ziggy supports natural resource management organisations across Australia understand their natural capital and integrate natural capital information into their decision-making. He also provides technical analysis of economic and environmental data to develop comprehensive natural capital information sets, enabling organisations and investors to make informed decisions and target cost-effective nature positive outcomes.
Ziggy has experience in compiling SEEA-aligned natural capital accounts, having worked on ecosystem accounts for urban Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks, Victoria’s forests, Victoria’s marine and coastal region and Melbourne Water’s catchments.
Prior to working at IDEEA Group, Ziggy worked with the Victorian Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
