Hattah Lakes Ramsar Site: Securing the ecological benefits of appropriate watering regimes

Integrated on-ground works at the Ramsar-listed Hattah Lakes are helping preserve the major gains delivered through recent natural and managed watering programs at this iconic inland lake system. 

Works include strategic pest management (feral pigs, feral goats, rabbits, foxes), terrestrial weed control, management of River Red Gum saplings, supported by targeted monitoring and community engagement activities.
