This project is focused on strengthening the health, productivity and resilience of grazing landscapes across the Southern Gulf region. By working directly with land managers, the project supports the adoption of sustainable land management practices that improve soil health, ground cover and overall land condition – key factors in maintaining productive and resilient pastoral systems.
Delivered in partnership with industry, research organisations and regional NRM groups, the project spans thousands of hectares and uses demonstration sites to showcase practical, on-ground improvements. These sites highlight how targeted management changes and new technologies can enhance land condition, increase biodiversity and support long-term productivity.
A strong emphasis is placed on data-driven decision-making, including monitoring soil, vegetation and carbon indicators to better understand landscape function and guide future management. By building landholder knowledge and encouraging collaboration, the project not only improves environmental outcomes but also supports a more resilient and sustainable regional economy.
