In one of South Australia’s most important coastal ecosystems, this reef recovery project adopts a catchment-to-coast approach to improving the resilience of the Coffin Bay environment and surrounding catchment.
By combining oyster reef protection and restoration with actions to improve catchment health and water quality, the project will deliver benefits across both terrestrial and marine environments.
The project is expected to support biodiversity, improve ecosystem function, enhance water quality, and strengthen the long-term resilience of this iconic coastal landscape and the communities and industries that rely on it.
This project is funded by the South Australian Landscape Priorities Fund.
