Working with Brigalow to build healthier, more productive landscapes

  • Context: Regional

FBA is working with land managers and First Nations peoples to better understand, restore and manage brigalow across the Fitzroy region.

Through a suite of regional projects, FBA is supporting approaches that recognise brigalow’s value for both biodiversity and agricultural productivity, including its role in improving soil health, supporting water retention, providing shade and shelter for livestock, and creating habitat for threatened and unique species. By helping land managers find a practical balance between conservation and production, FBA is supporting healthier landscapes that can remain productive into the future.
