Raising awareness and enabling communities to develop landscape scale fire management plans
This is an outstanding example of a cooperative, locally led approach to fire management. The project has built community resilience to fire by raising awareness and building capacity for communities to undertake landscape scale fire management planning. In addition, Healthy Land and Water and the Githabul peoples partnered to use local traditional knowledge to tailor a cutting-edge, First Nations led fire management strategy
