Report prepared from the monitoring and evaluation workshop held at the NRM Knowledge Conference, 2025
The NRM Monitoring and Evaluation Hackathon included 38 people from across the NRM sector nationally, and explored how existing and emerging tools for ecological monitoring can be applied to deliver the multiple outcome goals required for natural resource management.
The report summarises key findings from the workshop, covering: the purpose and context for M&E in NRM, challenges, and deep dives into some different dimensions of M&E including ecological field monitoring, community-led and Indigenous approaches, and new technologies.
