This report highlights the experiences and insights gained through the Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning (EPRP) intiative of 2023-24 across NRM regional organisations throughout Australia. It sheds light on the key contributions of NRM regional planning, data, networks and expertise in strengthening preparedness for extreme events.
The report highlights how the EPRP process helped foster or renew collaboration between the NRM sector and emergency response agencies in many places, and points to the value of strengthening these relationships as part of a more integrated emergency response and recovery system.
