General guidelines to support landholder planning biodiversity recovery and restoration post-bushfires.
These guidelines help landholders assess impacts and recovery of native vegetation on their properties after bushfires, and provide tips for restoration where needed. The guidelines were developed after severe bushfires in southern Tasmania in 2013, but are of relevance beyond this event. General principles for assessing recovery and deciding if restoration is needed, along with general tips for restoration planning, are applicable in many temperate systems in Australia. Restoration planning details are mainly relevant for Tasmania. The guidelines also include some planting species selection information relevant to southern Tasmania.
