Submission on the proposed changes to the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act through the Environment Protection Reform Bill 2025 and six related bills.
NRM Regions Australia put forward suggestions on the proposed reforms to the EPBC Act, as part of the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee inquiry. In its submission, NRM RA argued the need for greater consideration of climate risk, and the value and importance of drawing upon regional NRM planning as part of the proposed bioregional planning mechanism. Several proposed amendments were put forward for improving the reform bills.
