Marnie has worked in the environmental sector for over 20 years. Her previous roles include Sector Development Lead at the Australian Land Conservation Alliance, CEO of Natural Carbon, Executive roles at Trust for Nature (Victoria) managing regional operations and environmental markets, consultant to several Australian environmental organisations and Deputy General Counsel of a US land trust.
Marnie has participated in two international fellowships focusing on environmental funding approaches – the Kinship Conservation Fellows program and The Nature Conservancy’s Coda and Barbara Thomas Fellowship program. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Marnie originally trained as a lawyer, and practised law in both Victoria and California. She is passionate about nature and her family proudly owns a bush block with resident platypus that they permanently protected in Victoria’s beautiful Otway Ranges.
