Rachel is a strategic engagement and communications specialist with over 15 years’ experience working in natural resource management. Rachel’s past roles include leading stakeholder engagement at the Murray Darling Basin Authority, as a communications manager with ACTEW Water, as a social scientist with ABARES and as a project manager with Murrumbidgee CMA. Rachel has been with NRM Regions Australia since 2021 and is passionate about supporting NRM organisations in their work to foster productive and healthy landscapes and communities, and engaging with government, industry and other stakeholders to promote the critical work and outstanding contributions of the NRM sector to rural and regional Australia.

Current focus

Rachel’s work involves knowledge sharing and supporting capacity building among regional NRM organisation staff, as well as development of networks and partnerships with others working in carbon farming, natural capital, environmental markets and emissions reduction.  

Rachel also provides advice and delivers strategic communications and engagement initiatives on behalf of  NRM Regions Australia to raise the profile and understanding of the NRM sector’s work, contribution and achievements.
