Tess Herbert

Board member

Tess owns and operates a sixth-generation family farming business – cattle feedlot, lamb and wool production and crops, silage and hay production – in the central west of New South Wales. Tess has previously been the President of the Australian Lot Feeders Association- the industry council grain fed beef, Director of the Federal Agriculture Minister’s Red Meat Advisory Council, Chair of the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework Steering Group and Chair of the Red Meat Panel.

Currently Tess is a non-executive director of Meat and Livestock Australia, the independent chair of the Grains Industry Sustainability Governance Council and the Chair of the Local Land Services State Board in NSW. Tess is also a board member of the Zanda McDonald Award Foundation.

Tess brings skills in corporate governance, agricultural industry policy , research and development , marketing, strategic planning and sustainability initiatives.
