NQ Dry Tropics has joined the Queensland government’s Soil Science graduate and First Nations engagement program, which aims to accelerate the development of graduate scientists and rangers in soil science.
The program blends hands-on field experience, mentoring, and formal training for government and regional NRM organisational staff to ease the transition from study to career, while working towards Soil Science Australia accreditation.
The program also supports Australia’s National Soil Strategy, promoting soil health, innovation, and the blending of traditional and scientific knowledge.
