Southern NSW farmers and land managers are tapping into natural capital profiling to boost the sustainability, productivity and resilience of their farming systems.
The South East Local Land Services (LLS) Natural Capital Profiling Service provides independent, tailored support to assess the natural assets on their properties. Using spatial data analysis, site visits and one-on-one discussions, they receive a customised natural capital profile that helps them understand their natural resources and the ecosystem services they provide.
This is helping landholders to make better decisions about natural capital and environmental market opportunities, and to build confidence in integrating natural capital into farm planning.
The service is designed for those with an existing awareness of natural capital who would benefit from more detailed, property-specific guidance, helping them identify opportunities, clarify next steps, and connect with additional support where needed.
