Partnering with winemakers to improve biodiversity and do research on bats and insects.

A partnership between the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board, local wine makers, and community groups is enabling habitat restoration at wineries, and the planting of the world’s biggest ‘insectary’ planting to attract beneficial insects. The work also supports research into local bat and insect populations, while boosting vineyards’ scores for biodiversity under Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
