Led by Murray Local Land Services Sustainable Agricultural Facilitator, the recent educational bus tour to the ‘Corowa carbon cluster’ visited innovative trial sites and participants heard from farmers, researchers, and industry experts on practical solutions for lower-emissions climate-smart agriculture.
Funded through the Australian Government’s Climate-Smart Agriculture program, tour topics included cropping trials of stubble management and nutrient strategies; the carbon storage benefits of diverse pasture rotations; and how environmental planting projects can generate saleable carbon credits.
