NRM South is delivering the Australian government funded Climate Smart Farming Systems project through the tailored extension programs – Property Management Planning (PMP) and Dryland Grazing.
PMP is designed for new farmers on small properties and supports decision-making to improve practices that enhance ecological functions and safeguard soil, biosecurity, and landscape health.
The Dryland Grazing Program is aimed at primary producers in key sheep grazing regions. It includes demonstration sites to increase understanding of best management practices, as well as dryland pasture management training to promote the value of protecting and managing ground cover and other actions to support long-term resilience to climate change impacts.
