Hunter Local Land Services (LLS) provides opportunities for landholders to come together with specialist staff to support recovery efforts following severe flooding events. Supported by Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP), Hunter New England Local Health District, NSW Reconstruction Authority, MidCoast2Tops Landcare Connection and Manning Landcare, the June flood recovery sessions aimed to have all the right people in the room to support landholders on their difficult recovery journeys.
Members from Hunter LLS attended to provide information on pasture assessment, rebuilding and budgeting; animal health and welfare; herd management and market updates; and river rehabilitation and erosion control.
