Peel-Harvey Catchment Council has established four demonstration sites in Marradong, Quindanning, Mundijong, and West Coolup to showcase regenerative practices including cover cropping, multi-species and perennial pastures, biologically orientated fertility, and mob grazing under the Australian Government’s Climate-Smart agriculture program funded through the Natural Heritage Trust.
Peel-Harvey staff will return annually over the next three years to conduct plant tissue and soil indicator tests and to track soil health improvements. All actions and interventions will be documented by video and shared with landholders to support the uptake of climate-smart agricultural practices.
