Regional NRM organisations work with people across the country, from the local to national level, to manage our land, water, soil, plants and animals. They provide regional NRM planning, information, networks and delivery across Australia.

The 54 regional NRM organisations cover the entire Australian continent and coastal areas. Many have been in existence since the mid-1990s and were established through statutory and non-statutory means with the objective of creating a sustainable future for Australia’s environment for current and future generations.

Recognised by the Federal Government as regional delivery partners under the Natural Heritage Trust, government funding for natural resource management and nature repair can be delivered quickly, easily and expertly wherever it is needed.
